Slingshot makes changes to Internet and Toll pricing plans, and launches nationwide Internet access.
Slingshot is making a range of changes to its Internet and Toll offerings designed to save its customers money, and enhance the services provided.
- In order to continue providing the same reliable Internet connection that Slingshot customers enjoy today, the new price for Slingshot’s flat rate Internet plan will be $16.95* per month.
- All Slingshot Internet customers who register for the Tolls service before 31 December 2002, will automatically receive $2.00 worth of free toll calls to use for national, international or land to mobile calls every month, until the end of 2003.
- There is no longer a $5.00 monthly fee for Slingshot Toll customers.
- The Slingshot Internet service is now available nationwide, which means everyone now has access to one of the most competitively priced flat rate Internet services in the country.
Slingshot’s CEO Annette Presley says these changes mean the thousands of Slingshot customers who have signed up for both services start saving money immediately, and for those who haven’t there is no better time to join.
Presley says providing the most competitive Internet and Toll services without compromising on quality are Slingshot’s primary objectives. "More and more New Zealanders are discovering the benefits and savings that Slingshot can offer, and the latest changes are exciting developments", says Presley.
As New Zealanders become more comfortable online, the Slingshot Internet service is appealing to a wider audience. "The average length of call to our helpdesk is just over 2 minutes. Based on the low monthly price of our flat rate Internet plan, customers could call the helpdesk once a month and still pay less than other flat rate plans in the market. In fact the average Internet customer only uses the helpdesk three or four times in an entire year", says Presley.
The changes take effect from 3 December 2002.
*Cheque payments are $17.95 per month. Charges are three monthly in advance.
